Department of Control systems and Informatics holds several cycles of lectures and North-West Student Olympiad on Automatic Control.

Epiphany Lectures are held annually in January since 1999. Many leading specialists of control theory and system dynamics have taken part in this project.

Paltov Memorial Lectures are dedicated to the memory of Ivan Petrovich Paltov. These lectures are held annually since 2011.

April Lectures are held annually since 2014 to discuss industrial applications of modern control theory.

Anniversary Lectures are held since 2014 and focused on history of control theory development.

Research seminars-discussions are held since 2014.

North-West Student Olympiad on Automatic Control is held annually in spring for students of North-West region of Russia. Participants are offered to solve tasks on Control Theory, Information Theory and Digital and Analog Circuit Design.
